Eli`s Style Palabok
Ingredients
For the broth
1/2 chicken breast
3 cups water
2 violet onions quartered
1 tsp rock salt
1 tsp ground peppercorn
1 bay (laurel) leaf
For Sautéing
Soak 4-5 pcs. Vermicelli @eat.relish.ph in water to soften noodles, drain
Oil
3 cups broth
2 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp Atsuete powder
1 tbsp fish sauce
½ cup Shredded chicken
dried shrimp
tenga ng daga cut into 1/4 inch strips
1/2 tsp pepper
For Garnish
4 hardboiled egg, slice into rings
spring onion, chopped
fish and calamansi
Procedure
For the broth
Put all in a pot. Let boil, cover, and simmer over low fire for 30 minutes. Cool chicken then cut into cubes. Save broth.
1. In a wok add in oil sauté onion and garlic, annatto powder and hibe and cook until fragrant.
2. Add chicken, tenga ng daga, pepper , patis and stir for a few seconds.
3. Add broth, when boiling, add sotanghon and cook until clear.
4. Transfer to in a plate. Top with boiled egg, garnish with some spring onions
5. Serve and enjoy.
